Poem 6
The  Camp

A new king had risen
In the castle to abide.
By my hiding place
I saw his knights ride.

I shivered with cold
On my white and blue dress
Or is it dark fears
Which against my chest press?

The soldiers arrested me
“Is she we should blame?”
“Yes”, said the crowds
And they stomped my name…

And they tattoed a number
On the skin of my arm
And then lied
to the crowd
“Listen! We mean her no harm!”

They put me in a convoy
They shaved my head
They hurt me and raped me
And left me almost dead.

I saw through the wires
That filled me with fright
The dark, beauteous witch
And her fair Endless Knight.

They proudly were dressed
In velours, silk and gold
I cried, please help me
I´m hungry, I´m cold!

But they didn´t heed me
They went their own way
And I was left there weeping
In the midst of decay…

White Knight, where art thou?
And thou, Sleepless Knight?
Please come to my rescue
Please help me in my plight!

But heavens were silent
Or had just made a pause
So I should remember
Wouldn´t forget who I was…

For the clouds and the skies
Had given me a clue:
They also were dressed
In white and in blue…
